Friends of WildLife, a non-profit organization, was established to enhance Webster Pond through maintenance, events, and fundraising efforts, with all proceeds directed to support Webster Duck Pond. Our inaugural project focused on the refurbishment of the pond's back trails to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities, paving the way for future enhancements.
Formed in June 2014 by Chad Norton and his companions, we are currently seeking support to construct a new visitor center designed in a rustic style. This facility will feature public restrooms with indoor plumbing, a conference room, and an expanded visitor area. Our existing small building (15x24 feet) is overcrowded, prompting the need for additional space. The estimated cost of the project exceeds $100,000, and we aim to reach our fundraising goal within the next 5 to 10 years by organizing various events, such as our successful silent auction in 2014.
We are grateful for any contribution you can provide to our cause, benefiting not only our present visitors but also the future generations who will enjoy the beauty of Webster Pond.
